Tim (Versed, Vidane):

Versed- Gamer and Game Guide, Website Designer/Blogger

Ever since I picked up that bulky Atari joystick I was hooked on gaming. Even though watching as a pixel flew from one side of the screen to the next might sound boring, it was the greatest thing I’d ever seen.

Since then I’ve come a long way with my gaming career. I fell in love with RPG’s early on. Breath of Fire, Final Fantasy, Chrono Trigger and Lufia were some of the earliest I played.

I eventually found that Battle Toads, Double Dragon and Contra. After that I found that all genres of games were just as exciting.

Games led to my love for art. I would take game manuals from my favorite games and then draw the characters from those games. I found that doing just black and white pencil sketches was my favorite. I would spend hours making sure the shading was just perfect.

What’s with the V names?

Eventually I got into PC games and found my names. I borrowed Baulders Gate from a friend and was hooked right away. The best part of the game for me was the writings of Volo. The way his character was portrayed really hit me.

Attempting to find names in video games was always hard. The first online MMORPG I played I threw V in front of the name Zidane (from FF9) and thus Vidane was born. Volo was already taken so I had to get creative.

Years later I use some variation of a name with a V in it. Ironically enough V for Vendetta is one of my all time favorite movies. Perhaps somewhere in the cosmos the letter V is trying to find its way to me.

Voila! This is how V was born. Verily not vain or villainous but vigilant in my venture to vanquish gaming boredom. It’s a very good honor to introduce myself and you may call me V.
